Position Objectives:
The City of Dilworth is accepting applications for a full time officer position.
Dilworth Police Officers work 12/10 hour shifts with every other weekend off. Under supervision, general duty, police work in the protection of life and property through the enforcement of laws and ordinances.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Entry level position in the fast growing FM Metro, general duty, police work responsible for the preservation of law and order, the protection of life and property, the prevention and detection of crime, traffic enforcement, juvenile and adult crime, apprehension of law violators, general enforcement of laws and ordinances and preliminary and follow-up investigation of crimes. Work is performed in accordance with departmental rules and regulations and upon specific oral and written instructions from a superior.
Minimum Requirements:
Graduation from an approved MN POST program. MN POST licensed or eligible to be POST licensed at date of application. Never have been convicted of any felony crime or any crime involving moral turpitude. Experienced officers are encouraged to apply and may receive a higher starting salary DOE
