Storm shows mercy, but cold still on the way

The area missed the large snowfall that was predicted last night, but the cold is still coming with lows tonight of -23 degrees Ferinhieht. The area officially received 3 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service which was well below the 7 inches predicted.
A quick moving low pressure system was cited as the reason for the snow not being dumped on the area.
Be sure to check any events for cancellations, as events are being cancelled and or postponed because of the dangerously low temperatures.

cityofdilworth.com gets a new look

It only took about 6 months to complete it, but the new look has been completed. There are likely to be some small bugs that will have to be addressed, but the site should be back in service now and comments are welcome.

Harms family home damaged by fire

The Dilworth Fire Department was called shortly after 7:11 AM to respond to a house fire near the Dilworth Elementry School at 108 1st St. N.W. The fire was reported at the home of a Minnesota State Patrol trooper Randy Harms and the department resonded quickly. Fire caused extensive damage to the Dilworth home as firefighters dealt with temperatures below minus 20 degrees. Read more
