BNSF leaking rail car prompts call to Dilworth Fire

BNSF workers observed a leaking rail car and notified area dispatch about 14:31 on Monday. The car was filled with gasoline and authorities believe the flow increased because of the expanding pressure inside the rail car as it warmed in the sun.
Archies-Bargins Comes Tumbling Down

Commuters along Highway 10 will notice more open space on the South side next to the Pizza Ranch. After 37 years, the buildings that once housed several different businesses are being demolished.
Archie’s Place was opened in 1971 and is housed on over 8 acres on the corner of 34th street in Moorhead and Highway 10 Dilworth. Archie’s closed in 1991 and later that same year a new store was opened with a new name, Bargains.
Rebels Lose Close Game to Pirates

The DGF Rebels fought a tough wind as well as a tough Crookston Pirates baseball team Monday. The Rebels lost 7-6 at Jim Karn Field in Crookston starting the season off with a loss.
The Pirates took an early lead with four runs in the bottom of the first inning.
Loco Daze dates set

Dilworth has set the dates for the 22nd Annual Loco Daze. The celebration will begin July 28th and run until August 3rd of 2008.

Clean Up Week

Dilworth has “Clean Up Week” scheduled for May 5th through May 9th. A schedule will soon be posted as each area will have a specific pick up date.
